GT-TEST forged steel hydrotest end caps (Model GT-EC-A) are engineered for industrial clients and commercial procurement teams conducting hydrostatic pressure testing on thermoplastic pipe samples. These end closures seal both ends of a pipe specimen to generate controlled internal pressure during long-term pressure testing and short-term burst testing. Manufactured from stainless steel with carbon steel available as an option, the end caps accommodate pipe diameters from Ø12 mm to Ø2000 mm and support a maximum test pressure of up to 100 bar, depending on diameter and standard requirements. The split-clamp design enables automatic centering during installation, reducing setup time and minimizing the risk of misalignment under pressure. The split-clamp mechanism allows operators to position the end cap onto the pipe end without precise manual alignment.
